Celebrate the Thunderbird Day!

Baby Birds out for the Day
Our Dust-Off started in Altamont at John & Darcy Knapp’s and proceeded on a scenic journey around Warner Lake & Thompson Lake. Everyone had a road rally list of questions to find answer for along the way, and fun “did you find” landmarks and pesky critters to spot!
We then headed through Gallupville & Shutters Corners to Schoharie for a fun stop at the Carrot Barn. The Carrot Barn hosts a variety of fresh plants, foods and sundries. There were many T-Bird trunks full of spring plantings, sweet treats, fresh veggies and entire ears of popping corn!
From Schoharie (after discovering the Schoharie train museum was not open until after Memorial Day) we traveled to Middleburg to experience fresh brewed beers and local concord grape wine slushes at the Green Wolf Tavern, a local micro brewery. Parking at the library provided blacktop (not a common feature of many rural businesses) and a great photo opp.
Our next destination was Justine’s, a local Cobleskill eatery, where the dinners were as good as they were over-sized!! We will all be enjoying Justine’s cuisine for days to come! T-Birds scattered after dinner to follow their own migration routes home! It was a perfect day, bright sunshine and 70’s, so the cars were as happy as the people!
